Finesse Jig - June Bug Sculpin (2)
COMES IN PACKAGE OF TWO
These small profile jigs are hand-tied and come with silicon skirts (spider cut) on our finesse head. They have a black nickel round bend Mustad Ultra Point Hook with a flat eye and a small matching fiber weed guard. They are painted with a chip resistant paint and clear coated with flake and red and black eyes. The jig has two keeper prongs for holding your favorite soft plastic trailer securely in place.
How to fish it
Traditional Method - Thread your favorite soft plastic trailer to your Finesse Jig and fish it on 10-12 pound line. Throw toward the bank and then move the jig on the bottom very slowly toward the boat by pulling it with your rod tip, then reeling in the excess line. When the jig hangs on a rock, give it slack and jerk the rod tip upward “hopping” the jig over the rock.
“Pop and Drop” Method - Thread your favorite soft plastic trailer to your Finesse Jig and fish it on a spinning rod with 8-10 pound line. Let the jig fall to the bottom on a SLACK LINE. Watch your line for a strike as it falls. Lift the jig off the bottom with a slight jerk and let it fall back again on a SLACK LINE. This method is very effective for flipping deep water boat docks.
